Online Submission
The online submission system is the only possible way to submit the manuscript for potential publication in IJMCL.
 
Peer-Review Process
IJMCL uses double-blind peer review procedures, which means that either reviewers or authors do not know each other.
•    Editorial external peer review process is used for all the submitted manuscripts.
•    In each field, independent reviewers will review every submitted article.
•    Correction of all reviewer's comments should be provided in both main and anonymous files and highlighted with different colors. A file titled "response to reviewers" should be submitted too.
•    Within approximately 2 to 3 months, the authors will be informed of the acceptability of their manuscript.

Language and Style
Contributions must be in both American or British English. The textual content ought to be clear and concise, conforming to popular requirements of English fashion and usage. Abbreviations should be standard and used just in essential cases, after complete explanations withinside the first usage. Non-local English authors are suggested to be looking for expert assistance with the language.

Requirements for Different Types of Articles:

1) Original articles:

•    Word Count is 3000-3500 (excluding the references, abstract, figures, and tables)
•    References are 15-40
•    Illustrations and tables are 5

2) Clinical trials:
They have the same arrangement as the original study; however, having the CONSORT flow diagram is necessary. RCTs should be enrolled in any RCT register endorsed by the WHO and the code should be embedded on the title page. RCTs performed in Iran should be enlisted on www.irct.ir.

3) Brief Report:
•    They should be written about either experimental outcomes or instructive clinical perceptions.
•    Publication of deficient or fundamental discoveries is not permitted in this class.
•    The survey measure is just about as exact as Regular Articles.

Abstract:
The maximum number of words is 200. It should contain only one paragraph with no subheadings.

Full text:
Brief Reports must not go beyond 2000 words. They should include:

In a brief report, the maximum number of:

4) Case reports:
A case report is a case study or other description of a case that should contain a structured abstract. In another word, clinical presentations may be followed by evaluative studies that ultimately lead to a diagnosis. Informed consent should be obtained from the patients to report their cases Case reports should optimally be accompanied by relevant figures to document findings. The Journal reserves the right to request informed consent signed in the original.

5) Review articles:
A review article should not report facts or analysis rather examine and summarize previously published studies.

Abstract:
The structured abstract of a review article should include:

Context
The context of a review article should include one or two sentences that shed light on the clinical question and its necessity in clinical practice or public health.

Evidence Acquisition
Data sources, including the research approaches, the study time, and other resources of the used materials, such as subsequent reference searches of retrieved articles, are revealed in this part. The ways used for quality evaluation and the inclusion of recognized papers are also described here.

Results
The main results of the review of the clinical issue or topic are enunciated here. This action should be done in an evidence-based, objective, and balanced style. The available highest-quality evidence should also be emphasized.

Conclusions
The conclusions to respond to the inquiries are inserted here (if applicable, according to the conclusions of the obtainable evidence). How clinicians ought to apply the present knowledge is also lightened here.

6) Systematic Review or Meta-Analysis:
Authors should report systematic reviews and Meta-analysis according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) statement. For systematic reviews, the abstract and text of the manuscript should be divided into the following sections:

Context:
Provide an explaining the importance of the review question. Also, state the precise primary objective of the review and state information about the specific subjects, intervention, and tests or outcomes that are being reviewed.

Methods:
Briefly indicate the data sources, including years of research. Describe the inclusion and exclusion criteria used to select studies for detailed review from the studies identified as relevant to the topic. Also, describe the guidelines for extracting the data and assessing the quality and validity of the data.

Results:
Identify the key qualitative or quantitative results of the review and describe the methods by which these results were obtained. Also, identify evaluations of screening and diagnostic tests, including specificity, sensitivity, probability ratios, receiver operating characteristic curves, and predictive values and assessments of prognosis, summarize survival characteristics and associated variables. Indicate the main differences between the studies.

Conclusions:
In this section, state clearly the conclusions and their applications (clinical or otherwise), limiting interpretation to the domain of the review. Also, should be included critical assessments of current evidence covering a wide range of topics of interest to those working in the specific area of the journal. In a systematic review maximum number of:

7) A meta-analysis of observational studies:
 A MOOSE checklist is needed for these studies.

8) Letter to Editor
Letters to Editor about a recent journal article need to be received within three months of publication. For instance, a letter referring to an article published in the January issue needs to be submitted online no later than March 31st. Letters sent after the time permitted will not be considered. For the matter of clearness, letters will undergo a peer-reviewing process.

Letter to Editor maximum number of:
•    Word count is 700-1000
•    Authors are 3
•    References are 5
•    No tables or figures are allowed.

Supplementary material
In addition to the full text of the article, this journal accepts any additional online material (data sets, podcasts, videos, images, etc.) if the authors want to send it.


Preparing the Submission
Prepare the following files to upload when submitting:

1) Title page
The following information must be written:
•    Title of the article;
•    Name, Affiliation, and e-mail address of the author (s);
•    Name, address, telephone, fax numbers, and e-mail address of the corresponding author;
•    ORCID IDs from all authors. If you already have an ORCID ID, it is suggested that you subordinate it in the online submission procedure. If you do not have one, then please make it at https://orcid.org/register.

2) Cover letter
The cover letter should be included:
•    A brief explanation of why the work is appropriate for IJMCL.
•    A commitment that the manuscript has not been previously published (in any language) and will not be sent for consideration until the final decision of acceptance or rejection by the editorial board of IJMCL.
•    Confirm that all authors meet the criteria for authorship, have approved the final manuscript, and that all those entitled to authorship are listed as authors.
•    The affiliation and contact information of the corresponding author.

3) Manuscript files with and without the names of the authors
Manuscript files should include these titles:

•    Title
A brief, expressive title ought to be picked for the submission. Try not to capitalize all words, just the first letter of the words, and proper nouns. Incorporate the type of the study (meta-analysis, systematic review, cohort, case report, etc.) in the title with a colon (:).
  •  Highlights
Highlights help to expand your work in the online world and ensure that your article gets the attention of interested colleagues.
•    Write three to five bullet points that reflect the innovation in your research and your considerable results.
•    Each highlight cannot contain more than 85 characters, including spaces.
•    Do not use acronyms and aim for a general audience.

•    Abstract
An abstract arrangement (maximum 250 words depending on the type of study) must include the subsequent main subheadings: Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. In the case of a clinical trial study, the trial registration number should be written in the abstract's last line.
The unstructured abstract (maximum 150 words) does not contain subtitles.

•    Keywords
Each submission should include 5-7 keywords from the list of MESH browsers. Keywords should be listed in alphabetic order and lower case- except were essential.

•    Introduction
A short review of the subject area and the rationale of the study are included in the introduction. Comparing the previous works and conclusions of the study appear in the Discussion section.

•    Materials & Methods
The Materials and Methods section should have subtitles on the Subjects, Apparatus and Task, Procedures, and Data Analysis used in a nuanced way so that other researchers can duplicate the experiment.

•    Results
Results of all the statistical analyses should be written in APA style. A logical sequence on tables, figures, and illustrations should be used for presenting the results.

•    Discussion and Conclusion
There must be important clinical implications on new and possible findings of the study, in addition to any likely drawn conclusion. The current data must be compared with the findings of the previous studies. Limitations of the study as well as suggestions for future research should be declared too. New hypotheses and clinical recommendations are also suitable. Recommendations may be comprised there suitable.

•    Acknowledgments (if applicable)
Any contributor who does not meet the authorship criteria must appear in this section. A person who provided purely technical assistance, in writing or in proofreading the article, or a department head who only provided general support can be recognized. Authors must disclose whether they received written to support and identify the legal entity that paid for that support.

•    Conflict of interests
Conflicts of interest arise once authors, reviewers, or editors have interests that don't seem to be totally apparent which might inappropriately influence (bias) their work. IJMCL requires authors to include a declaration of any conflicting interests from all authors and they must disclose any financial and personal relationships with other people or organizations. Please include any declaration under the heading ‘Conflict of interests. If no declaration is made you may wish to state this heading: ‘The Author(s) declare(s) that there is no conflict of interest’.
  • Ethical consideration
Authors must designate whether the study procedure followed the ethical standards and has received the confirmation of the responsible committee for human or animal investigation as well as to the Declaration of Helsinki of 1975, revised in 2008. Besides, it must become clear that all the participants signed a detailed informed consent form. Ethical information should be mentioned at the end of the “Subjects” of the Methods section.

•    Reference
To cope with your references, please use EndNote reference management software and link in-text citations to the references in the bibliography. The 6th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA 6th) must be utilized for organizing the manuscripts and the references.

4) Tables
•    Please submit any tables in your manuscript file in an editable format.
•    Use Arabic numerals for the tables for example Table 1, Table 2, etc., and refer to all of them in the text.
•    Every table must have a small and clear title.
•    Descriptions about the table must be placed as a footnote at the bottom of the table. Avoid repeating the information from a table in the text.
•    Avoid using vertical lines and shading in table cells.
•    Tables in the word file should be separated by page break (each table is a separate page).

5) Figures
•    Number figures as Fig. 1, Fig. 2, etc., and refer to all of them in the text.
•    Figures must have a clear caption. Photographs are acceptable if they have good contrast and brightness.
•    Descriptions about the figures must be placed as a footnote at the bottom of the figures.
•    Also, all figures must be submitted in a separate file. They must be delivered in JPEG format at 300 dpi or greater resolution.

IJMCL is committed to real and immediate open access to papers. All journal articles are accessible free of charge from the date of publication. There are no pre-publication authoring fees, and there are no fees for readers to download articles and reviews for their own scholarly use. Open access articles can be submitted, read, and downloaded free of charge by anyone worldwide.

Copy right
Authors should be aware that submitting an article to this journal means that:

•    The work described has not yet been published anywhere or in any other language and has not been submitted to another publication for simultaneous review.
•    The publication has been approved by all possible co-authors.
•     If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the request to withdraw the article or cancel the publication will not be accepted.
